Welcome to Our Little Ohana!

Aloha! Crazy is the world of blogging! I've had so many different blogs and yes, I'm making one more. This one, however, is a remake. I want my family blog to be open to more readers, but I don't want to put my kids' names, our home town, and our calendar out there for the world to
see. So I have created this new blog to take the place of my previous family blog. Many of you regular readers know our names and where we live and all that good stuff, so please don't comment with that information. My family will have nicknames and I'd very much appreciate you using those when you want to leave a comment. (And I love comments!) My husband served his mission in Hawaii so I've decided to use that as a little fun to our new blog!
Hope you enjoy reading!

Boo at the Zoo!

All the grandkids. So sad Grandma and Big Daddy couldn't be there this year! It was fun! KB is really getting the hang of the trick or treat thing! And he loves it!

Kitty to kitty

She just looked so cute! I'll have to get a good pic of her whole costume next time she wears it! We have 3 more costume occasions this week!

A few animals were still awake. Barely.

Roar!

Guess the singing pumpkins were a hit!

So was the train!

And the dance floor! I'll have to figure out how to put up a video!

One last roar!

At the South Carolina State Fair!

Grandma gave us tickets to the fair this year! So we got a sitter for Lani Girl and took Koa Boy to the fair!

On the kiddie bumper cars KB ran straight to the green one. I told the ride operator he'd have to explain to him how to make the car go. But he told me that KB happened to pick the only car that was automatic and would keep going. Yay! KB had SO much fun on this one!

We rode the ferris wheel second and took a good look around to decide where to go. Good thing all the kiddie rides were all on one side and even right next to the animals!

KB LOVED the animals!

You know, I think I'm gonna just go ahead and say KB LOVED every ride he got on! And waiting in line KILLED him! It was good practice for Disney though!

This could have been such a cool picture if he'd turned around!

He could not wait another second to go on the planes.

This freaked out mommy a little bit though! Him riding all by himself up in the air with no doors and windows and a wimpy little snappy seatbelt! Especially when he'd turn around to look at us! Good thing this ride didn't last very long!

"Bieman chuck!" That's what he says when he sees this picture. He loved driving both steering wheels in the fireman truck!

Only 3 dragons worked on this Teacups style ride, so we had to ride with other people. I'm not a fan of the Teacups, but this was more enclosed and we didn't go too fast so it wasn't that bad.

Who's having more fun, Ku'uipo or KB?!

Took a couple of bites of a corn dog before getting on the roller coaster!

Of course we couldn't leave before letting him get on the tractor!

And what Ku'uipo called the "fake tractor".
We had so much fun! KB really really loved the fair!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Ku'uipo got a sitter for the kids on my birthday and he took me to North Carolina for a road trip from lunch to dinner. We ate lunch at Olive Garden (a total fave!) in Asheville and then took the Blue Ridge Parkway to Charlotte (well, halfway) for dinner at THE fave, Cheesecake Factory!
So, along the way...

We were there too.

There was tons of prettiness!

We're still there too!

We went through a lot of these. Loved them!

Found this cool tree at an "Overlook" we stopped at.
This was a beautiful trip! Thank you, Ku'uipo!

Ok, I have pictures to post soon, but I just have to say this first:
Why on earth am I sweating after only 5 minutes of being outside at the END of OCTOBER?!!

On the job

I started painting chairs at my mom's house today. Here's what the kids got to do while I was working.

LG took a nap for the first hour and a half. Then she played like a good girl!

Then it got windy. Yep, she's under there!

Being a good boy for the moment.

Going home

So we decided to check one of our bags on the way home. It was still so hard to do that I don't see how we did it with one more!

With all our stuff.

KB LOVED his suitcase Grandma got him!

There was a tv right on our row in the aisle.

Video of KB's reaction to his first flight coming soon!

LG ALWAYS sleeps like this!

Yet it's still so funny to us when we see her like this!

Dinner Prayer

For prayers we usually say a word or two and KB will repeat it or say the word that comes next. Example: To start a prayer this is how it goes...
Us: Dear
KB: Dear
Us: Heavenly
KB: Father

A lot of times we'll say that we're thankful for our blessings.
Us: Thankful
KB: Thankful
Us: for
KB: for... our blessings.

Well tonight this is how it went
Us: Thankful
KB: Thankful
Us: for
KB: five, six, seben

Well, at least he's learning something!

Driving back to Provo

So it was a very lengthy ride back to Provo. And for once, K and I were in agreement... we both didn't mind stopping at the pretty sites to take some pictures and let the kids out of their carseats.

K drove for the first couple hours. And his section was so lovely!

And this was my section. Nice.

We stopped at a scenic lookout as we passed around the tip of the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately we didn't have the extra 2 or 3 hours to go really see it. But this was a little teaser that was good enough for me! That's the little part of the Grand Canyon to the right of our heads. Then it just gets bigger out to the left of the picture. (Can't really see that part.)

At the lookout, there were a few tables where Native Americans from Page came to sell the jewelry they made. So I found a cute bracelet for LG. Good thing I tried it on her first cause her little chunky wrist was too fat! So we picked a new one that was just right!

Then we went over the bridge at the Glen Canyon Dam for Lake Powell.
