Welcome to Our Little Ohana!

Aloha! Crazy is the world of blogging! I've had so many different blogs and yes, I'm making one more. This one, however, is a remake. I want my family blog to be open to more readers, but I don't want to put my kids' names, our home town, and our calendar out there for the world to
see. So I have created this new blog to take the place of my previous family blog. Many of you regular readers know our names and where we live and all that good stuff, so please don't comment with that information. My family will have nicknames and I'd very much appreciate you using those when you want to leave a comment. (And I love comments!) My husband served his mission in Hawaii so I've decided to use that as a little fun to our new blog!
Hope you enjoy reading!

Trip to Virginia

Last weekend, KB, LG, and I traveled up to Williamsburg, Virginia with my parents to support my dad in the Patriots Half ironman triathlon. My sister, brothers, and their families all met us there. The only one absent was Ku'uipo. Sad.

The race was Saturday so we did some sightseeing in Yorktown on Friday. Two year olds aren't crazy about tours so Grandma walked around with them. I think they're chasing a butterfly here.

After the race on Saturday, the Team all went to Jamestown. KB loved the ships!

Here he is trying to get my brother's fam's attention on the other ship!

Here he is working hard in the kitchen on the ship. Ok, so maybe he's taking his break.

KB loves his cousins! They're taking another break in one of the crew bunks.

Then they had to play some games!

Nice boat, huh?

This is how it started. The settlers charred the log and then scraped out the inside with oyster shells! Bet that took a while!

Trying on some very heavy armor!

I momentarily forgot there was no photography allowed in the museum! This was the English exhibit set up like a street in London. At this spot you could listen to someone with an english accent.

Grandma took KB out to the Powhatan Indian site. He thought that was pretty neat too! Especially since he got to be out of the stroller!

Mashing corn into something. Gonna make us some cornbread?

This is what LG did the whole time! Guess she was comfy cause she took a nice long nap!

A few pics of the fam in front of the Jamestown museum.

We sure had a lot of fun! Thanks for letting us tag along for the weekend!
(Pics of the race to come later. They were on a different camera!)
